Registration
The one and only thing you need to register is to have a profile on Facebook. If you are not a Facebook user, just click on the “Log in via Facebook” button on the mySchoollNotebook.com main page and you will be forwarded to the Facebook sign up page. You can create a new Facebook account there to be able to use the mySchoolNotebook application. If you are a Facebook user, continue to the Log in information on this page to learn more about the Log in process.
Plan Selection
MySchoolNotebook offers two different plans you can choose from. The first one is for free and offers you a trial version where you can create one notebook, share it with your friends on Facebook, and enjoy a mobile version as well as an offline mode option.
After trying mySchoolNotebook, you can upgrade to the Premium Plan. For only $2 per month you can use the application in the full version with all its advantages, such as unlimited number of notebooks, sharing with your friends, printing notes, storing files, and drawing in notes.
Log in
If you have a Facebook profile, it is a very fast and easy process. Click on the “Log in via Facebook” button on the mySchoolNotebook.com main page. You will be forwarded to the Facebook log in page. After entering your e-mail address and password you will be asked to allow use of the mySchoolNotebook application. After these two simple steps you will find yourself at the main page of my School Notebook and you can start enjoying your brand new application!
Notebooks
Creating a notebook
To create new notebook you have to click on “New Notebook” on the main page after log in. The picture of the notebook will appear and you can rename it according to your wish together with the name of teacher. Whenever you want to create an additional notebook, just click on your name in the top left corner and you will find yourself on the main page with the “New Notebook” button and all the notebooks you have ever created.
Deleting a notebook
To delete your notebook you have to view your notebook on the main page. To get there just click on your name in the top left corner of the page. After choosing the notebook you want to delete, you have to click on the cross sign in the top right corner of your notebook, which appears after pointing your cursor to the particular notebook.
Creating a new topic
When you create a notebook and enter its content by clicking on its picture on the main page, you can add a new topic into your notebook. To do so, click on the “Add Topic” button in the middle of page. To rename your topic you must click on the “Rename” button next to the name of the topic.
Adding new lessons
After creating new topic, you can add individual lessons inside your topic. When you click on a certain notebook on the main page, the top left part of the page offers you a list of notebooks and a list of topics in the selected notebook right next to your name. To add a new lesson, just select the desired topic in the list and then click on the “Add lesson” button under the displayed topic. The typing area will be ready for you. You can number your lectures by clicking on the circle above the typing area. Also, you can save your notes whenever you decide to do so by clicking on the “Save” button on the right. When you are finished, click on the “Save and Close” button. To access and edit your notes when you want to, click on the “Edit” button.
Text Formatting
When typing your notes, you can format them by using the toolbar right under your name in the top left corner of the page. As mentioned before, you can edit your notes whenever you want to by clicking on the “Edit” button to the right of each lecture.
Sharing of notes
Share with your classmates
To share your notes you can either click on the “Sharing” button in the lower left corner of the picture of a particular notebook on the main page or by clicking on the “Book Sharing” button when you have your notebook opened. Both ways will forward you to the page that is offering a list of your Facebook friends using this application. To share your notes just click on the names of people you want to share it with. By selecting your friends you allow them to only read your notes. However, if you want them to edit your notes and add more information, you can check “Allow contribution” next to the names of your classmates, which will allow them to write in your notes.
Publishing of notes
Besides sharing your notes, you can also publish them. It will make your notes accessible to anyone in public. Public notes will be able to be found by Internet search engines, such as Google as well.
Searching
To navigate easily through my School Notebook you can also use a search button displayed as a magnifying glass in top right corner. By using this button you can effectively search individual notebooks, topics, lectures, and friends in short time.
Drawing

The toolbar above your text field offers you another great option – drawing into your notes. By using this toolbar and your cursor you can draw pictures or graphs directly into your notes to make them even more useful and interesting.

MySchoolNotebook allows you to draw into your notes not only on your computer, but also by using graphic tablets as well.
PremiumExport to PDF
In addition to using mySchoolNotebook on your computer or other devices, you are also able to print out your notes in a PDF version. This option allows you to have a very nice and neat printed notebook ready for you to use.
File Storage
PremiumTo improve the quality of your notes, mySchoolNotebook contains a file storage option. By using this button, available above the text field, you can save presentations, sounds, videos, photos, and other documents to make your notes complete.
Offline mode
One of the biggest advantages of mySchoolNotebook is that you do not need to have an Internet connection to access your notes when using Google Chrome, Apple Safari, and also Mozilla Firefox soon. Not all the schools offer an Internet connection in every building; however, because of the fact that mySchoolNotebook works in offline mode you do not have to worry about it at all. Also, you do not need to have any special configuration to use mySchoolNotebook offline. Just enter mySchoolNotebook.com address and enjoy the application whenever you want to.
Mobile version
If you are the owner of an iPhone, iPad or Android, you can use mySchoolNotebook in a mobile version as well. To access mySchoolNotebook from your phone, enter m.myschoolnotebok.com address into the browser on your phone. However, if you are using iPhone and iPad, do not hesitate to visit Apple AppStore where you can find a mySchoolNotebook application. And do not forget, you do not need an Internet connection to use mySchoolNotebook because it works offline!
